I know Apple says this is possible, but I'm wondering if anyone has real-world experience with it. Screens, batteries, keyboards, logic boards, hard drives, connectors, and small parts all tested and guaranteed with fast shipping and easy. My setup will either be an ultrawide, or two normal 4ks. MacBook Pro 13' Unibody Mid 2012 parts for DIY repair. Haven't decided on any specific models yet. My question: are any of you using the 13" MBP 2018 to power an ultrawide and/or 4k monitor? Ideally I'd want to run an ultrawide 4k monitor with the MBP lid closed. One of the core points that helped me choose the 13" was the assumption that I'd be using an external monitor when in the office/home, thus making the extra screen real estate on the 15" not as important. My main reservation at the moment is the lack of discrete graphics. So I've got a 13" with great internals - as good as the base 15", minus the DDR4.

I ended up deciding on the 13" because I love the form factor.
